Authors: BAAZOUZI, Kamel
Abstract: This paper presents a robust nonlinear control of the DC-DC boost converter feeding by a photovoltaic system based on the passivity control. The control law design uses the passivity approach. Novelty. The novelty consists in designing a control law for a photovoltaic system using a passivity approach based on energy shaping and associated with damping injection. Purpose. The purpose consists to develop a tool for design and optimize a control law of the photovoltaic system in order to improve its efficiency under some conditions such as the variations of the temperature, the irradiation and the parameters. Also, the control law design should be simple with a lower overshoot and a shorter settling time. Methods. This work uses the port Hamiltonian mathematical approach with minimization of the energy dissipation in boost converter of the photovoltaic system to illustrate the modification of energy and generate a specify duty cycle applied to the converter. Results. The results with MATLAB/SimPowerToolbox® have proven the robustness against parameter variations and effectiveness of the proposed control. Practical value. The experimental results, carried out using a dSPACE DS1104 system, are presented to show the feasibility and the robustness of the proposed control strategy against parameter variations.

Authors: ACHOURI, Mabrouka
Abstract: The present work intends to assess the degree of contamination and accumulation of soils and
different parts of durum wheat (Triticum durum Desf) of the industrial area of El Hadjar (extreme
north-east of Algeria) by the heavy metals: copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), lead (Pb), the Nickel (Ni),
and total chromium (Cr). The objective of this study is to check if metal pollution of the soils
generated by the waters of the Seybouse River as and its tributary Meboudja used in irrigation
and releases from various industrial activities affect farmland, including the cultivation of durum
wheat. To better understand the dynamics of heavy metals in the different backgrounds, both
campaigns of sampling distributed on four agricultural stations, surface (0 cm to 20 cm) and
depth (20 cm to 40 cm) were conducted in the moths of October and July. Physicochemical
analyses: texture, porosity, moisture, pH water, pH KCl, electric conductivity (EC), cationic
exchange capacity (CEC), organic matter) were carried out. Series of dosages, by spectrometry
of atomic absorption by flame, were performed on soil samples and different parts of wheat:
roots, stems, leaves and grains. The results obtained showed a decreasing metal pollution in
the soil profile and a decrease of the concentrations of the heavy metals of soils and plants of
wheat from the soil control sample. In some plots, average concentrations in Pb in soils exceed
the limit value. Heavy metals medium levels in wheat plants are compared to those found in the
literature. The liquid effluents and atmospheric industrial, including those of the steel operations
as well as agricultural practices inappropriate can be at the origin of this metal pollution.

Authors: TEBABEL, Imane
Abstract: Heterocycles containing sulphur and nitrogen atoms in the core structure, possess a number of pharmacologically and biologically active compounds. So, in the past decade, various fused pyrimidines including purines, pteridines, quinazolines, pyridopyrimidines, triazolopyrimidines, pyrazolopyrimidines, pyrimidoazepines, furopyrimidines and pyrrolopyrimidines were studied and were found to possess remarkable pharmacological properties. Thus, our work was focused on the development of novel, green and efficient method for the synthesis of a series of 6-acetyl-7-methyl-5-aryl-2H-thiazolo[3,2-
a]pyrimidin-3(5H)-one derivatives using 5-acetyl-6-methyl-4-aryl-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-thione derivatives as starting materials. The precursor pyrimidine derivatives were prepared by Biginelli reaction of pentan-2,4-dione, thiourea and an appropriate aromatic aldehyde in the presence of an ionic liquid, and then reacted with ethyl bromoacetate in a concise sequence involving condensation/cyclization reaction to give the corresponding thiazolopyrimidines in good yields under
catalyst-free conditions in the presence of acetone as solvent. The structure of the whole synthesized compounds was determined by NMR and IR spectroscopy, and a plausible mechanism of their formation was proposed.

Abstract: Multi-component reactions (MCRs) utilizing unconventional solvents like ionic liquids have become a new research direction that has emerged as an important facet of green chemistry. The present work deals constructively with the MC one pot synthesis of 4-aryl-5-ethoxycarbonyl-3,4-dihydro-6-methylpyrimidin-2(1H)-ones using L-valine sulfate 1:1 [H-Val][HSO4], a cheap, non-corrosive, and eco-friendly ionic liquid as a dual solvent-catalyst.
