This study examines the nature and characteristics of newspaper writing by the poet and author Ayache Yahiaoui, whose writings are not limited to the literary field, but rather to the press and media; as he was an outstanding writer. Ayache Yahiaoui practiced newspaper writing through many Algerian newspapers during the 1980s and 1990s. The author's journalistic talent became more visible when he immigrated to the United Arab Emirates. He served as editor of the cultural section of the “Gulf newspaper” in Sharjah and as chief researcher of the Abu Dhabi authority for culture and heritage, publishing numerous newspaper articles in various Arab newspapers and magazines. The following article attemps to relate the experience of Echourouk online; an Algerian electronic paper that took advantage of technology abundance yet it still faces challenges to stick to professional standards like objectivity, accuracy and credibility while covering certain national and international events. Résumé : Les technologies de communication modernes ont permis à la presse électronique de faire un progrès sans précédent. The media openness in the field of audiovisual in Algeria has led to the emergence of many private satellite channels that seek to attract the viewer through presenting programs and contents that meet his wishes and needs.
