Abstract

من المصادر المهمة التي أصبح الباحثون والمؤرخون يرجعون إليها في الدراسات الحديثة الرحلات نظرا لما تحمله من أخبار ومعلومات تفيد في كتابة التاريخ، وفي هذا الصدد تعتبر الرحلات الأوروبية الحديثة والمعاصرة نحو الوطن العربي مصدرا على جانب كبير من الأهمية. وفي هذا المقال نريد أن نتعرف عن أسباب الرحلات الأوروبية وأهدافها وأهميتها ونماذج عنها والى أي مدى يمكن الاعتماد عليها في عملية الكتابة التاريخية، وقدمنا نموذجا لذلك ألا وهي رحلة الدكتور شو. وخلصنا في الأخير إلى تثمين عملية الاعتماد على الرحلات في عملية الكتابة التاريخية وذلك بعد نقدها وتقييمها والتأكد من مدى صحة المعلومات الواردة فيها One of the important sources that researchers and historians refer to in recent studies is trips and travels due to the news and information they carry that are useful in writing history, and in this regard, modern and contemporary European trips to the Arab world are a source of great importance. In the end, we concluded by evaluating the process of relying on trips in the process of historical writing, after critiquing and evaluating them and ensuring the validity of the information contained therein.
