Abstract

The Algerian revolution was a violent shock and a loud scream for freedom and independence, which shook the depths of the people of the three continents, especially the people of the African continent. it awakened its living consciences and restored its confidence in herself and its latent living abilities to take its destiny in its own hands and hold the reins of its abilities to build herself its present and shape its future. Africans became masters in their countries, directing their fate according to their own interest and will. Consequently, Algeria has tried hard, since its independence in the early sixties of the twentieth century, to consolidate solidarity between it and the African peoples, and to find a kind of rapprochement and understanding between organizations on the continent. Its officials have expressed more than once that Algeria is Arab as well as African and that they have duties and an important role in Africa. Algeria has provided material and diplomatic support to the African liberation movements, whether through bilateral relations with these movements or in the collective framework of the continental organization, especially since Algeria is one of the founders of the Organization of African Unity and an active and influential member of the editorial committee of the organization, as it was chosen for the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the organization continental regions of North Africa as a result of its efforts in the liberation process. After research and investigation, it became clear to us that the Algerian revolution played a key role in spreading the idea of liberation in Africa, through its focus on the African dimension in its struggle, its linking of close relations with African leaders and its call for the project of African solidarity and unity, and this resulted in the spread of liberation movements and the independence of many African countries, as France was forced to grant independence to West African countries in 1960 to devote itself to the Algerian revolution, but the Algerian revolution was able to unite Africans to stand in the face of colonialism and imperialism, and the Algerian state contributed to building the Organization of African Unity, paying attention to the problems of the continent and
