dc.description.abstractThis study came under the title: The Reality of the Linguistic Term and its Impact on Teaching Arabic for First Year Students of the Master of Applied Linguistics - University Center Barika - as a model. However, we find ourselves in front of a major obstacle, which is represented in: the large number of errors among university students in understanding terms and their diversity, and the prevalence of simple, easy terms, in all those stages, and whenever this problem is raised, we find those interested in this matter pointing fingers at the essence of learning the Arabic language as The same and the reality of learning the linguistic term, and the study aims at the following: Knowing the difficulties of students’ comprehension of the linguistic term and its impact on teaching the Arabic language. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: There are difficulties related to the comprehension of the linguistic term due to the multiplicity of its concepts from the students' point of view. The study led to some recommendations, the most important of which are: the university professor should use the appropriate teaching aids, whose role is to motivate students towards learning, and pay attention to measuring other levels of students such as understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation.en_US
