Abstract

عرفت كتب الرحلة والجغرافيا عصر ازدهار كبير خاصة في القرن الرابع الهجري مع ظهور مؤلفات عديدة اختصت بكتابة تاريخ المناطق وعُرفت هذه المؤلفات باسم كتب المسالك والممالك وغيرها، فهذه الأخيرة حفظت التاريخ المحلي لكل المناطق والبقاع خاصة بلاد المغرب الإسلامي التي كانت مقصدا للعديد من الرحالة والجغرافيين المسلمين، فحفلت هذه الكتب بتعريف للمنطقة ووصف الطرق الرئيسية والثانوية الرابطة بين مدنها والمناطق المجاورة، ورصدا لتاريخ وحياة المجتمع والحالة الإقتصادية والمذهبية لسكان المنطقة The Books of the voyage and geography was known as a period of great prosperity especially in the fourth century Hijri with the appearance of numerous writings specialized in writing the history of the regions and these writings were known as books of the Paths and kingdoms and others, the latter preserved the local history of all regions especially the Islamic Maghreb, which was the destination For many Muslim travellers and geography, these books were written in a definition of the region, describing the main and secondary roads that link their cities and neighboring regions, and monitoring the history and life of the society and the economic and sectarian situation of the region's inhabitants.
