Abstract

This study aims to address the most important concepts related to ironyliterature, and trace the development of this literaturethrough the ages from the pre-Islamicera to The modern era, and thiswasdone by relying on the descriptive approach. As for the practicalside, we have tried to show the manifestations of ironyliterature by the writer Ibrahim Abdel Qader Al-Mazini by taking hiswriting - a trip to the Hijazas model - and among the most important results were achedis that irony was not only a means for fun and laughter Rather, itis a self-contained art that has its origins and rules, and that Ibrahim Abdel Qader AlMaziniwas a satirical writer whose sarcasmmanifested itself in most aspects of life.
